A HAWICK teenager has been banned from entering the town's secondary school during term time.
The 16-year-old - who is not a pupil at the school and cannot be named because of his age - appeared from custody at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
He pleaded not guilty to assaulting a male to his injury elsewhere in Hawick earlier this week and a trial date was fixed for February 18 with an intermediate diet hearing on February 3.
The teenager was granted bail with the special conditions not to enter Hawick High School and Buccleuch Road between the hours of 8am and 5pm on school days and not to contact two named males.
He is also prevented from entering two other streets in Hawick where the males live.
