ONE of Scotland's most glorious sounds of indie-pop is coming to Galashiels to celebrate Independent Venue Week.

Songwriter, singer, and guitarist Stina Tweeddale will bring her band, Honeyblood, to the Mac Arts on Saturday, February 1.

The gig isn't just a celebration of the band's gradual rise from their Glasgow beginnings, but also a reminder of how lucky music lovers in the Borders are to have the Mac Arts on their doorstep.

Independent Venue Week, which is promoted by BBC 6 Music, will some major names playing at smaller venues up and down the country from Monday, January 27 to Sunday, February 2.

Despite three acclaimed albums under their belt and playing at some of the biggest festivals around the world, Honeyblood, have never forgotten their smaller venue roots.

And the 300 fans lucky enough to pack into the Mac Arts next month will witness that Stina has never lost the passion and energy which took her to great things.

Honeyblood will be supported by Indigo Velvet.
