A 36-year-old Galashiels man has been remanded in custody after being accused of assaulting a man to his permanent disfigurement.
Logan Mackenzie is said to have committed the offence in the Bongate area of Jedburgh on Friday, December 27.
He made no plea during a second private hearing at Jedburgh Sheriff Court and he was fully committed for trial.
Bail was refused by Sheriff Andrew Webster and Mackenzie of King Street, was remanded in custody.
