A HAWICK man who admitted assaulting two female partners will be sentenced next month at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.

Jori Silver pleaded guilty to the first attack, which happened in September 2013.

The 26-year-old also admitted assaulting another partner on June 16, 2019.

Silver of Hillend Drive, also pleaded guilty to a third charge of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on August 10.

Sentence had been deferred until January 6 for the production of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and a Restriction of Liberty Order assessment and a Caledonian Men's Programme report.

But they were unavailable, and sentence was further deferred until February 17.

Silver had originally denied a total of 10 charges alleging assaults on four former partners.

But before the trial was due to take place, he pleaded guilty to assaulting two of the women and not guilty pleas were accepted to the other charges.
