A TEENAGER who caused damage to two houses has been ordered to pay £80 compensation to the owners.
Kian Jackson, 19, from Duns admitted wilfully or recklessly breaking a glass panel at as house in Leet Street, Coldstream, on April 7 as well as urinating on various items of property at a house in the town's Duke Street that he had entered.
Jedburgh Sheriff Court was told the teenager had been of good behaviour during a six month period of deferred sentence.
Sheriff Andrew Webster told him: "I am sure you wish to forget the embarrassing content of what you did. But if someone came into your house and did what you did then you would be aggrieved."
