A BODY has been found at an historic Edinburgh landmark.
And it is believed to be missing Galashiels man Robert Cochrane.
A walker found the man this morning at Salisbury Crags, which surrounds Arthur’s Seat.
Although a formal identification has yet to take place, it is understood that the family of the missing 37-year-old has been informed.
Mr Cochrane was last seen leaving Edinburgh's Waverley Station on Thursday, January 2.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police Scotland was called to Salisbury Crags in Edinburgh shortly after 10.35am on Friday, January 10 after the body of a man was found in the area.
“The man was pronounced dead at the scene and enquiries are ongoing."
