GALASHIELS film-makers Roger Simian and Sarajane Swan are already in the frame for 2020 after being selected for a world-wide tour.

Their short film Alphonso's Jaw has been chosen for inclusion in the forthcoming TIME is Love tour.

Started by African artist and curator, Kisito Assangni, as 'an annual video art program on the theme of love in hard times', the 12th edition of TIME is Love will be screened at arts venues and cinemas across the globe.

Each year Assangni hand-picks artist-filmmakers from around the world to fill his programme.

And to add icing to the cinematic cake for the Borders artists, the promotional tour poster features a still from Alphonso's Jaw.

Sarajane and Roger, who work under the name Avant Kinema, developed their latest short film from a 2016 installation at the Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival in Hawick.

As well as the being included in the Time is Love tour, Roger and Sarajane have also been commissioned to create a multi-media artwork based on the final poem by the French Symbolist poet, Stephane Mallarme.

The commission by New Modernist Editing Network will be part of the Imprints of the New Modernist Editing exhibition to be held in July at Shandy Hall near York.
