A GALASHIELS man has been accused of raping three women.
John Tunnicliffe is charged with committing the offences in 1993, 2017 and 2018.
The 54-year-old also faces a fourth rape charge involving one of the women and sexually assaulting one of the others.
The five alleged offences are said to have happened at a houses in Galashiels and Tweedbank.
Tunnicliffe made no plea during a private hearing at Selkirk Sheriff Court and the case was continued for further examination.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded in custody.
