A SELKIRK man who walked out of a Galashiels store with a television has been ordered to be of good behaviour for the next six months.
Paul Crow of Buccleuch Road, pleaded guilty to the theft which happened at Asda in Currie Road, Galashiels, on August 8.
Fiona Hamilton, prosecuting, told Selkirk Sheriff Court that a member of staff had noticed the 44-year-old walking out of the store with the television valued at £379.
He was confronted in the car park and the police were called.
There was full recovery of the television set.
Sheriff Raymond McMenamin told Crow he was giving him a chance by deferring sentence for good behaviour until June 29 but warned him of the repercussions of there was any further offending.
