BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a Galashiels man who admitted a total of three offences at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Twenty year old Louis Heatlie pleaded guilty to assaulting a male to his injury in Gala Park on October 6 by repeatedly punching him to the head and body.
He also admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner near his Glendinning Terrace home on November 2 by damaging a car windscreen with a pumpkin, adopting an aggressive attitude towards two named people and kicking a number of bins and a vehicle, as well as spitting on a police officer.
Sheriff Kevin Duffy said that in view of the nature of the offences he would be calling for a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and a Restriction of Liberty Order assessment.
