A 59-year-old woman will stand trial on a charge of obtaining more than £30,000 in benefits she was not entitled to.
Carole Lindsay from Duns is accused of failing to notify the Department of Work and Pensions about a change in her circumstances in that her mobility had improved and was self-employed while obtaining £24,582 in Personal Independent Payments.
It is alleged the offence happened at her home at Lintlaw Farm Cottages and at Galashiels Job Centre between October 15, 2014, and March 1, 2018.
She is also charged with obtaining £993 in housing benefit, £3915 in Employment Support Allowance (Contributions) and £2797 in Employment and Support Allowance(Revenue to which she was not entitled.
The trial will take place at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on January 21.
