A 63-year-old man has admitted possession and supply of a class A drug.
John Steele pleaded guilty to the being concerned in the supply of heroin at his home in Glenburn Avenue, Newtown St Boswells, on November 26, 2018.
He also admitted being in possession of heroin in Ettrick Terrace in Selkirk when stopped by police.
Sentence was deferred at Selkirk Sheriff Court until February 24 for the production of background reports.
