A 52-year-old man who admitted producing cannabis at a farmhouse near the town has been fined £500 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Andrew McCreadie pleaded guilty to the offence which happened at Upper Tofts Farm near Hawick on September 24.
He was also fined £225 for failing to securely store a shotgun.
Elaine McCreadie, 54, had her not guilty plea to producing cannabis accepted by the Crown.
