A GALASHIELS woman has been accused of a benefits fraud of more than £16,000.
Euphemia Farmer, 60, of Larchbank Street, is charged with obtaining £12,305.32 in Employment Support Allowance she was not entitled to while working for two taxi firms between January 2016 and May 2018.
She is also said to have received housing benefit to the value of £4067.16 during the same period.
A trial will take place at Selkirk Sheriff Court on February 25.
