FOLLOWING last year's sell-out club night, silent disco is set for a return to the Mac Arts.

More than 400 head-phoned revellers enjoyed the two silent sessions in Galashiels in November.

And just as many are expected when Silent Knights return next month.

Rikki Toner from Silent Knight said: "At a silent disco instead of loud music participants will be given headphones and music will be transmitted to everyone wearing the headsets.

"To those watching it appears to be a room dancing to no music."

Silent Knights will host an afternoon family silent disco, between 4pm and 6pm.

And then it's the over 18s only from 8pm to midnight.

There will be three different music channels to choose from at each disco.

Rikki added: "The family event will feature a channel of Top 40 pop, dance-along favourites and a channel of classics for the parents.

"The evening adult event will see three live DJs playing simultaneously with guests able to flick between the DJs, with several genres and eras of music covering the three channels."

The silent discos will take place on Saturday, March 21.

Tickets, priced at £5 for the family event and £9/£7 for the evening disco, are available from www.macarts.scot
