A pensioner has admitted shouting and swearing at a house near Galashiels.

Iain Gillespie, 71, of Kennelhead Farm, Beattock, pleaded guilty to shouting and swearing and acting in an aggressive manner at the property near Threepwood on January 4.

But the Crown accepted his not guilty plea to the charge that he assaulted his partner by pushing her on the body.

Sentence was deferred at Selkirk Sheriff Court for six months for good behaviour.
