IT is looking unlikely that any of the historic Borders festivals will take place this summer.
Committees across the region have reacted to the coronavirus outbreak by cancelling their festivals and common ridings.
Jethart Callant's Festival organisers led the way on Wednesday evening by announcing its cancellation.
A decision to call off Hawick Common Riding, the Braw Lads' Gathering and Beltane Festival in Peebles quickly followed.
Officials at St Ronan's Borders Games Week and Coldstream Civic Week also announced cancellations.
Earlier today Kelso Civic Week was also called off for 2020.
Appointment night will go ahead as planned in West Linton this evening, but the Whipman and Whipman's Lass will be unveiled behind closed doors on a Facebook Live stream.
