Euan Stevenson, of Galashiels, died in Australia
POLICE in Australia have confirmed that a body found last week was that of Galashiels backpacker Euan Stevenson.
Mr Stevenson was reported missing on Wednesday, March 4 after failing to turn up for work in Melbourne.
The 24-year-old, who had been due to return to Scotland at the end of this month, had spent the past two years in Australia.
An appeal for information was issued by Mr Stevenson's friends and family in the days after his disappearance.
