MORE than a dozen bus services in the Borders are to be temporarily suspended from tomorrow.

And the remainder will operate on a reduced timetable until the coronavirus emergency eases.

Borders Buses are still attempting to transport key workers around the region.

A spokeswoman for the company told us: "Our team plays a vital role in safely and responsibly transporting key workers living in our communities.

"Safety is our number one priority and we shall continue to closely monitor the coronavirus outbreak and take guidance from both the Scottish and UK governments.

"From Monday we will temporarily reduce the level of services being operated.

"We will also be suspending a number of routes."

The routes which will continue to operate at a reduced service are the X62, X95, 51, 54 and 74, 60, 67, 69, 70, 73, 90A and 90B, 91S (replacing 91 and 93), 235, 253, 267, 339, 464, B1, H1 and the H2.

Until further notice, the 61, 62B, 68, 81,85, 87, 91/93 (replaced by combined service 91S), 313, 314, 396, 602, 710, B12, P32, X70, Y01 will be suspended.
