A MOTORIST accused of drink-driving at 95mph will not face trial at Jedburgh Sheriff Court for almost seven months.
Scott Harrison, 34, from Durham, appeared from custody and denied the speeding offence on the A68 at Wiselaw Mill near Lauder on Wednesday (March 18).
He was also accused of being more than double the legal drink-drive limit.
He pleaded not guilty to driving with an alcohol/breath count of 46 microgrammes - the legal limit being 22.
Due to new measures introduced to control the spread of coronavirus and the pressure on court business, a trial date was fixed for October 1 with an intermediate hearing on September 14 and Harrison was liberated on bail.
