A 21-year-old man who admitted two thefts by housebreaking earlier this month has been remanded in custody for the production of background reports.
David Cotton appeared at Selkirk Sheriff Court on a videolink live from Saughton Prison in Edinburgh where he admitted the two break-ins at houses in Maxmill Park, Kelso, on Saturday, March 14.
He stole a quantity of electronic items from one house and at another flat he took a television and a DVD player.
Sentence was deferred for the production of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report and a Restriction of Liberty Order assessment until April 14 and Cotton was remanded in custody.
