Last night (March 23) Boris Johnson told UK residents to stay in their homes unless leaving for one of the permitted reasons.
And today in Galashiels it seemed that the prime minister's instructions were being respected.
Bank Street Gardens was free of pedestrians, while Channel Street was a shopper-free zone.
