THE coronavirus death toll in the Borders has reached double digits.
A total of 11 people have died after testing positive, NHS Borders announced at 11.37am on April 2.
There are currently 28 virus patients across hospitals in the region, said a health board spokesperson, with a further 25 suspected cases awaiting test results.
The intensive care unit (ICU) is treating seven patients.
The latest deaths figure marks an increase of three on yesterday (April 1).
Meanwhile, a total of 10 virus patients have recovered and been discharged.
