THE Liberal Democrats have selected a candidate for next year's Holyrood election.
Jenny Marr will stand for the Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire constituency – currently held by Conservative Rachael Hamilton.
The former Selkirk High pupil said: "I’m thrilled to have been chosen to represent Ettrick, Roxburgh and Berwickshire for the Scottish Liberal Democrats.
"We are living in extraordinary times and I have been blown away by how communities across the Borders have rallied to support each other.
"The most important thing we can do as politicians and political parties is to provide assistance to anyone that needs it, learn from our experiences and work to address inequalities which have manifest."
The vote is set to take place on Thursday, May 6 of next year.
