EARLSTON High School pupils have been sent encouraging words from a TV celebrity.
The X Factor judge Louis Walsh posted a video message on Twitter today (May 29).
The Irishman told pupils they should pluck up the courage to enter their school talent show, Earlston's Got Virtual Talent.
He said: "Time's running out – this is a big, big talent show: it's called Earlston's Got Virtual Talent.
"I think you've got virtually a little bit of talent, so amuse us.
"You've nothing to lose – send in a video.
"Sing, dance, be funny, play tricks – do anything – just do something, because you've got the time now to do it.
"So, come on, just show us what you've got."
The pupils had previously been sent a video message from actor Jack Lowden, a former Earlston student.
