A MAN has been jailed after admitting eight domestic-related offences involving five women.

Kieren Davies, 24, from Kelso, was sentenced to 32 months at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.

He had pleaded guilty on indictment to charges of assault to injury, domestic abuse and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.

The offences involved five former partners in various places in Berwickshire, Kelso and Edinburgh.

Not guilty pleas to five other charges were accepted by the Crown.

Sheriff Peter Paterson said a disturbing pattern had emerged with the committal of the offences.

He said to reflect the seriousness of the case, the various jail sentences imposed would be consecutive rather than concurrent.

As a result the sentences totalled 32 months in jail.

The prison sentence was back-dated to February 19 when Davies was first remanded in custody at HMP Kilmarnock.
