A MAN'S body has been found in the Borders, police have announced.
Officers say they recovered the body from water in Lamberton Shiels, north of Berwick-upon-Tweed.
Although formal identification has yet to take place, the family of missing Broxburn man Shaun Watson have been informed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland can confirm the body of a man has been recovered from the water in Lamberton Shiels.
"Family of missing man Shaun Watson, 39, who also goes by the surname Payne and sometimes spells his first name as Shawn, who has been missing from Broxburn since Monday, August 3, have been made aware of the discovery.
"Formal identification is yet to take place and a post-mortem will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious."
