NHS Borders is withholding the specific details of new coronavirus cases to “protect patient confidentiality”.
Since Monday, (September 14), the Borders has recorded a total of 32 cases.
But the local health has now issued a statement revealing the locations of new cases will not be publicly announced.
NHS Borders’ associate director of public health, Keith Allan, said: "To protect patient confidentiality, details on individual cases are not shared with the public, and this includes the geographic location of where the person who has received a positive test for COVID-19 lives."
Since March, the Borders has recorded 447 cases.
