TWO Borders residents accused of attempted murder will remain behind bars until their trial.
Coldstream men David Adamson, 32, and McRae Fairbairn, 25, are charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement, danger of life and attempted robbery.
Adamson faces a second charge of attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
It follows an incident in the Hill View area of Coldstream earlier this month when a 37-year-old man suffered injuries.
A third man, aged 28, originally arrested and charged in connection with the case, was released from custody pending further inquiries.
Adamson and Fairbairn made no plea during a second private hearing at Jedburgh Sheriff Court and were fully committed for trial.
They were remanded in custody with bail refused.
