A CALLOUS thug threw a pensioner into a bush in an attempt to rob her.
The thug tried to steal the 78-year-old woman's handbag this morning in Bearsden.
Cops have launched a hunt for the man who is described as being white, approximately 6 foot 2 inches tall and of slim build. He was wearing a blue jacket, light-coloured trousers and a light coloured cap.

The attack occurred on Milngavie Road across from the junction Kilmardinny Avenue at around 8.40am today as the elderly woman was making her way to Milngavie.
The attacker fled in the direction of Bearsden.
The victim did not need to go to hospital.
Detective Sergeant Scott McNulty, of Govan CID, said: "We believe there were a number of people in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident and would urge them to contact police.

"We would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage who was in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch."
Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 0935 of September 27.
