A BOY has been rushed to the Borders General Hospital (BGH) after being hit by a car.

Police were called at around 12.45pm today (Tuesday, September 29) following the incident in Glen Road, Peebles.

A police spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a teenager being struck by a car in Glen Road.

“Emergency services attended and the boy was taken to the BGH and enquiries are ongoing.”

Police provided the statement at around 3.45pm today.

The ambulance service has been contacted for comment.
