The boy was taken to the Borders General Hospital (BGH) after the incident at Glen Road, Peebles, at around 12.45pm on Tuesday (September 29).
NHS Borders said the boy went home a few hours after his arrival at hospital.
And now police have revealed officers’ enquiries into the incident have come to an end.
“No further police action will be taken,” said a spokesperson in a statement issued at 1.51pm today (Thursday, October 1).
