A BORDERS man has been fined £200 after admitting possession of a class A drug.

Christopher Haddock, 39, of Elm Court, Hawick, was found in possession of heroin when he was apprehended on a warrant in Selkirk.

A total of 0.8 grammes of diamorphine was recovered, valued at £20.

In Selkirk Sheriff Court, defence lawyer Stephanie Clinkscale said Haddock had told the officers he had the drug in his possession before they searched him.
