MORE than 30 cases of coronavirus were recorded in the Borders over the weekend as the region's total closes in on 800.
Between Friday (November 6) and today (November 9) 31 cases of the virus have been reported.
The total number of cases in the Borders since March is 798.
The data was released by Scottish Government at 2pm today.
On October 30 the Borders recorded 699 cases – this means there has been an increase of 99 cases in 10 days.

Across Scotland in the last 24 hours, one new death has been recorded among people who tested positive in the last 28 days.
This brings Scotland's total number of COVID-19 deaths to 3,040.
Nationally, there have been 912 new cases in the last 24 hours.
The total number of Scottish cases since March is 74,355.
In the Borders, it remains that there are fewer than five patients in hospital with COVID-19.
