AN appeal has been launched after a parked car was damaged in Innerleithen.

The incident happened in Ballantyne Street between 6pm on Tuesday and 7am on Wednesday.

The door and bonnet of the grey Nissan Navara was scratched and a headlight was smashed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "[The car] has been extensively damaged by being scratched to the bonnet, driver’s side door, rear panel and having the front side light smashed.
