A 31-YEAR-OLD woman has admitted benefit fraud offences involving more than £9,000 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.

Lindsay Gemmell received £2338.90 in Employment Support Allowance when her partner shared the household in Marmion Road, Galashiels, between February 14, 2014, and October 2 that same year.

As a single parent she also claimed Income Support of £6865.10 between October 2014 and September 2016, to which she was not entitled.

Gemmell, now living in Newtongrange, was ordered to carry out 120 hours unpaid work.
