A MAN has received a fine after being found in possession of heroin and crack cocaine.
Steven Quinton, 47, was arrested after he was found to be carrying the drugs in Colchester in February.
Appearing before magistrates on Monday, November 23, he admitted two charges of possessing a Class A drug.
Quinton, of Chinook, Colchester, was ordered to pay a £120 fine and £145 in prosecution costs.
- A YOUNG man who spat at a police officer was sent to a young offender institution.
Charlie Osborne, 20, of Roosevelt Way, Colchester, appeared before magistrates after he was charged with using threatening or abusive words or behaviour, assaulting a police officer and criminal damage of a police van.
The offences took place in Colchester in July.
After admitting both charges, he was committed to a young offender institution for 26 weeks and ordered to pay a £200 fine.
- A MAN who assaulted two paramedics has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.
Hamish Stubbs, 23, of Oxborrow Close, Kirby Cross, admitted two counts of assaulting an emergency worker when he appeared before magistrates.
The offences took place in August in Frinton.
He was made the subject of a community order, consisting of a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and 120 hours of unpaid work.
