BORDERS police are looking for witnesses after two bins were set on fire in separate incidents.
The incidents took place in Hawick between 1.15am and 4.30am on Sunday, November 29.
The first incident occurred in Trevelyan Terrace and the second in Princes Street.
A statement from police said: “Hawick Community Policing Team are appealing for witnesses and asking anybody who may have information regarding these incidents, or may have CCTV in the area to contact Police Scotland on 101 or by completing our online ‘Contact Us’ form quoting reference number 608 of Sunday 29th November 2020.
“Alternatively you can report any information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by completing their online form.”
