ONE of the first people in the Borders to receive a coronavirus vaccination has described feeling “absolutely fine”.
Katie Stewart, a consultant anaesthetist with NHS Borders, got her jab today (Tuesday, December 8).
Afterwards, she said: “I’ve had my vaccine - my first dose - and I feel absolutely fine.
“This is a very special day and I look forward to protecting myself, the patients and my family and friends and also to getting back to life as we used to enjoy it.”
Dr Stewart was filmed receiving her dose and gave her reaction to the camera afterwards.
The video was published on NHS Borders’ Facebook page at 5.06pm today.
The health board began rolling out its vaccination programme today.
