A MAN has been remanded in custody after breaching his bail conditions by being found in Kelso.
Daniel Hamilton, 31, was banned from the town by a court order but was arrested on Wednesday during an incident and appeared from custody at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday morning.
He offered to plead guilty to a breach of bail and not guilty to a charge of threatening or abusive behaviour involving his partner.
Depute fiscal Fiona Hamilton said the pleas were not acceptable and a trial date has been fixed for January 7 with an intermediate hearing on December 21.
Sheriff John Cook refused a motion for bail and Hamilton, who gave an address in Buccleuch Road, Selkirk, was remanded in custody.
