BORDERS residents have been left “shaken and distressed” after they had jewellery stolen from their home.

Police say the break-in happened between 11am on Wednesday (December 16) and 10.15am on Friday in Blair Avenue, Jedburgh.

Detective Constable Liam Myers said: "This incident has understandably left the home owners shaken and distressed.

"Enquiries are progressing and I would ask anyone who was in the Blair Avenue area between Wednesday morning and Friday morning and saw any unusual or suspicious activity to contact police immediately. 

“Information can be provided to Police Scotland via 101, quoting 1270 of December 18, or reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
