A STRIKING nativity display has been installed in a Borders town.
Peebles Gutterbluids Society has erected its Nativity Tableau on the steps of the town's Old Parish Church.
Illuminated in the late afternoons and evenings, it is the Society’s annual contribution to the Christmas lights displays.
Douglas Wright, the Society's chairman, said: "The Nativity scene is enjoyed by all ages, and is complemented by the town’s nearby illuminated Christmas tree.
"Gutterbluids Society members hope that parents and others will provide opportunities for as many young children as possible (plus adults of course!) to visit the Nativity Tableau – even walk up the steps to have a close-up view."
The Society wishes everyone a "Happy Christmas and a Guid New Year".
The installation will be on display until December 29.
