A TOTAL of 23 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in the Borders in the last 24 hours.
Updated figures were released by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (Tuesday, December 22).
The total number of people in the region who have tested positive for coronavirus since March now stands at 1,267.
There are 30 people in hospital in the Borders with the virus, eight more than yesterday (Monday).
Across Scotland, 1,316 cases were announced in the last 24 hours and 1,045 people are in hospital with the virus.
