The latest coronavirus statistics have been published
A TOTAL of 16 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in the Borders in the last 24 hours.
Updated figures were released by the Scottish Government at 2pm today (Wednesday, December 23).
The total number of people in the region who have tested positive for coronavirus since March now stands at 1,283.
There are 32 people in hospital in the Borders with the virus, two more than yesterday (Tuesday).
Across Scotland, 1,190 cases were announced in the last 24 hours and 1,025 people are in hospital with the virus.
