A BORDERS man who admitted having indecent videos and images of children on his mobile phone has been placed on a home curfew for the next eight months.
Alan Cockerill, 23, of Jedburgh, pleaded guilty to a charge of taking, or permitting to be taken, indecent photographs of a child.
The offence happened at Cockerill’s Wester Ulston home in May last year.
A previous hearing at Jedburgh Sheriff Court was told a forensic examination of his mobile phone discovered 14 pornographic videos - 13 of which were Category A, the most serious.
There were also 18 indecent images of children - four from category A, three from B and 11 from C.
In addition to the Restriction of Liberty Order lasting 265 days, Cockerill was made subject to the notification requirements under the Sexual Offences Act.
His mobile phone has also been forfeited.
