THE Borders has recorded 25 cases of coronavirus in 24 hours.
According to Scottish Government figures released today (Wednesday, January 13), since the COVID-19 pandemic began the Borders has had a total of 2,291 cases
There are currently 41 people in hospital in the Borders with the virus, and five remain in the intensive care unit (ICU).
Nationally, there have been 155,372 cases since March last year and there are currently 1,794 people in hospital across Scotland with coronavirus.
To date there have been 5,102 people in Scotland who have died with coronavirus written on their death certificate.
