Update - 7.47am, January 22, 2021 - Police say they have found a body of a woman and Charmain Ledsham's family have been informed.

A SERGEANT says the police are “growing increasingly concerned” after a Borders woman was reported missing.

Charmain Ledsham, 62, was last seen at her home in the Dounehill area of Jedburgh at around 11pm on Wednesday (20 January).

Police, who are appealing for the public’s help, say she is believed to have left the property in a dark blue Toyota Auris (reg plate SL68 CHV).

Sergeant Phil Winning said: "This is completely out of character for Charmain and we are growing increasingly concerned for her safety and wellbeing.

“We believe she may still be travelling in a Toyota Auris and are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the car in the Borders area, or seen someone matching Charmain's description."

Ms Ledsham is described as 5’10 tall, slim build with straight, collar length dyed red hair.

Police say she may be wearing a black Adidas hooded top, black North Face jacket, black running trousers and purple coloured trainers.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 0364 of 21 January.
