BORDERS bowler Julie Forrest has been knocked out of the open singles at the World Indoor Bowls Championships 2021.
Forrest lost her last-16 match today (Thursday, January 21) against England’s Greg Harlow, the competition’s sixth seed.
Forrest, from Hawick, shared the opening set 8-8, but she was defeated 6-7 in the second.

She reached the last-16 after overcoming Jason Banks in the opening round.
Earlier this week, Forrest was crowned a mixed pairs champion alongside compatriot Stewart Anderson.
They beat Carla Banks - also from Scotland - and reigning open singles champion Robert Paxton.
The tournament, held at Potters Resort, Norfolk, runs until Sunday (January 24).
