A BORDERS man has been placed on supervision for one year as part of a Community Payback Order.
Brad Lewis, 23, of Princes Street, Hawick, was also ordered to pay £300 compensation for wilful fire-raising at a shop premises in the town in 2018.
Jedburgh Sheriff Court was told the damage to the interior and exterior of the shop was put at £3,050.

It was noted Lewis had limited financial means but the £300 compensation was designed to cover any insurance excess costs.
He was also ordered to pay £24 to the Aldi store in Hawick, after admitting a shoplifting offence there in 2019.
Lewis was also fined a total of £200 for breaching bail orders.
