A BORDERS man who was abusive to witnesses in the corridor of Jedburgh Sheriff Court has been fined £300.
Raymond Nicol, 30, of Houndwood near Eyemouth, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner in the court building on March 17 last year.
The offshore worker used a raised voice towards a couple he had been having a dispute with, saying to the man ‘you are scared of me’ and calling the woman ‘a psycho’.
Defence lawyer Ross Dow said emotions were running high at the time of the incident.
In addition to the fine, a £20 victim surcharge was imposed.
